These two playgrounds had “pea gravel” that had pretty much killed the grass area.  The base was clay that held water meaning too many days that the children could not go outside.

The schoolage playground had mulch that was being washed away and was very dirty. Much of the grass was trampled resulting in muddy areas after each rain.

The swing area was less of a problem and only needed a refill of the mulch.
